Summary: Analysis of data of patients with stage I, II, or III triple-negative breast cancer in the SEER-Medicare and Texas Cancer Registry-Medicare databases found that initiation of statin therapy within 12 months after breast cancer diagnosis was associated with breast cancer-specific (HR 0.42; 95% CI 0.20-0.88; p=0.22) and overall survival (HR 0.70; 95% CI 0.50-0.99; p=0.046) benefit.
