Ernstige HHIA-bepaalde functionele stoornis was geassocieerd met cognitieve dysfunctie (OR 10,62; p<0,001), vermoeidheid (OR 5,48; p=0,003), en slechtere algemene gezondheid (OR 0,19; p=0,012).

Summary: A multicenter cross-sectional study evaluated patient-reported functional impairment because of hearing loss (HL) and tinnitus among survivors of cisplatin-treated testicular cancer. HL affected 56.4% and tinnitus affected 60.5% of survivors. Survivors with either greater hearing difficulty or more severe tinnitus were more likely to report cognitive dysfunction, fatigue, depression, and worse overall health.
