Summary: A phase 3 study compared CPX-351 versus 7+3 cytarabine and daunorubicin chemotherapy for newly diagnosed high-risk or secondary AML in older adults (60-75 years of age). Five-year follow-up of the study found median overall survival 9.33 months with CPX-351 versus 5.95 months with 7+3 (HR 0.70; 95% CI 0.55-0.91) with five-year OS rates 18% versus 8%.
